Sura 42 Ash-Shura (The Consultation), ayah 49

  1. لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ يَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ إِنَاثًا وَيَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ الذُّكُورَ

    Translation by words

    لِّلَّهِ
    To Allah
    مُلْكُ
    (belongs the) dominion
    ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
    (of) the heavens
    وَٱلْأَرْضِ
    and the earth.
    يَخْلُقُ
    He creates
    مَا
    what
    يَشَآءُ
    He wills.
    يَهَبُ
    He grants
    لِمَن
    to whom
    يَشَآءُ
    He wills
    إِنَٰثًا
    females,
    وَيَهَبُ
    and He grants
    لِمَن
    to whom
    يَشَآءُ
    He wills
    ٱلذُّكُورَ
    [the] males.

    To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what he wills. He gives to whom He wills female (children), and He gives to whom He wills males.
