Sura 42 Ash-Shura (The Consultation), ayah 5

  1. تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْ فَوْقِهِنَّ ۚ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

    Translation by words

    تَكَادُ
    Almost
    ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ
    the heavens
    يَتَفَطَّرْنَ
    break up
    مِن
    from
    فَوْقِهِنَّ
    above them,
    وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
    and the Angels
    يُسَبِّحُونَ
    glorify
    بِحَمْدِ
    (the) praise
    رَبِّهِمْ
    (of) their Lord
    وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
    and ask for forgiveness
    لِمَن
    for those
    فِى
    on
    ٱلْأَرْضِ
    the earth.
    أَلَآ
    Unquestionably,
    إِنَّ
    indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah,
    هُوَ
    He
    ٱلْغَفُورُ
    (is) the Oft-Forgiving,
    ٱلرَّحِيمُ
    the Most Merciful.

    The heavens almost break from above them, and the angels exalt (Allah) with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allah who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
