Sura 43 Az-Zukhruf (The Ornaments of gold), ayah 48

1. وَمَا نُرِيهِمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ إِلَّا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ۖ وَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

   Translation by words

   وَمَا

   And not

   نُرِيهِم

   We showed them

   مِّنْ

   of

   ءَايَةٍ

   a Sign

   إِلَّا

   but

   هِىَ

   it

   أَكْبَرُ

   (was) greater

   مِنْ

   than

   أُخْتِهَا

   its sister,

   وَأَخَذْنَٰهُم

   and We seized them

   بِٱلْعَذَابِ

   with the punishment

   لَعَلَّهُمْ

   so that they may

   يَرْجِعُونَ

   return.

   And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return (to faith).
