Sura 44 Ad-Dukhan (The Smoke), ayah 8

  1. لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ

    Translation by words

    لَآ
    (There is) no
    إِلَٰهَ
    god
    إِلَّا
    except
    هُوَ
    Him;
    يُحْىِۦ
    He gives life
    وَيُمِيتُ
    and causes death,
    رَبُّكُمْ
    your Lord
    وَرَبُّ
    and (the) Lord
    ءَابَآئِكُمُ
    (of) your fathers
    ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
    the former.

    There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. (He is) your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.
