Sura 46 Al-Ahqaf (The Wind - Curved Sandhills), ayah 12
-
وَمِنْ قَبْلِهِ كِتَابُ مُوسَىٰ إِمَامًا وَرَحْمَةً ۚ وَهَٰذَا كِتَابٌ مُصَدِّقٌ لِسَانًا عَرَبِيًّا لِيُنْذِرَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Translation by words
- وَمِن
- And before it
- قَبْلِهِۦ
- And before it
- كِتَٰبُ
- (was the) Scripture
- مُوسَىٰٓ
- (of) Musa
- إِمَامًا
- (as) a guide
- وَرَحْمَةً
- and a mercy.
- وَهَٰذَا
- And this
- كِتَٰبٌ
- (is) a Book
- مُّصَدِّقٌ
- confirming,
- لِّسَانًا
- (in) language
- عَرَبِيًّا
- Arabic
- لِّيُنذِرَ
- to warn
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ظَلَمُوا۟
- do wrong
- وَبُشْرَىٰ
- and (as) glad tidings
- لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ
- for the good-doers.
And before it was the scripture of Moses to lead and as a mercy. And this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue to warn those who have wronged and as good tidings to the doers of good.
46:12
Translation: Saheeh International
