Sura 48 Al-Fath (The Victory), ayah 22
-
وَلَوْ قَاتَلَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوَلَّوُا الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُونَ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا
Translation by words
- وَلَوْ
- And if,
- قَٰتَلَكُمُ
- fight you,
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve,
- لَوَلَّوُا۟
- surely they would turn
- ٱلْأَدْبَٰرَ
- the backs.
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- لَا
- not
- يَجِدُونَ
- they would find
- وَلِيًّا
- any protector
- وَلَا
- and not
- نَصِيرًا
- any helper.
And if those (Makkans) who disbelieve had fought you, they would have turned their backs (in flight). Then they would not find a protector or a helper.
