Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 54

  1. أَمْ يَحْسُدُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَىٰ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۖ فَقَدْ آتَيْنَا آلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ مُلْكًا عَظِيمًا

    Translation by words

    أَمْ
    Or
    يَحْسُدُونَ
    are they jealous
    ٱلنَّاسَ
    (of) the people
    عَلَىٰ
    for
    مَآ
    what
    ءَاتَىٰهُمُ
    gave them
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah
    مِن
    from
    فَضْلِهِۦ
    His Bounty?
    فَقَدْ
    But surely
    ءَاتَيْنَآ
    We gave
    ءَالَ
    (the) family
    إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
    (of) Ibrahim
    ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
    the Book
    وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ
    and [the] wisdom
    وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُم
    and [We] gave them
    مُّلْكًا
    a kingdom
    عَظِيمًا
    great.

    Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them of His bounty? But we had already given the family of Abraham the Scripture and wisdom and conferred upon them a great kingdom.
