Sura 50 The letter Qaaf (Qaf), ayah 22

  1. لَقَدْ كُنْتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنْكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ

    Translation by words

    لَّقَدْ
    "Certainly
    كُنتَ
    you were
    فِى
    in
    غَفْلَةٍ
    heedlessness
    مِّنْ
    of
    هَٰذَا
    this.
    فَكَشَفْنَا
    So We have removed
    عَنكَ
    from you
    غِطَآءَكَ
    your cover,
    فَبَصَرُكَ
    so your sight
    ٱلْيَوْمَ
    today
    حَدِيدٌ
    (is) sharp."

    (It will be said), "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."
