Sura 52 At-Tur ((The mountain) Toor), ayah 38

1. أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ

   Translation by words

   أَمْ

   Or

   لَهُمْ

   for them

   سُلَّمٌ

   (is) a stairway,

   يَسْتَمِعُونَ

   they listen

   فِيهِ

   therewith?

   فَلْيَأْتِ

   Then let bring,

   مُسْتَمِعُهُم

   their listener,

   بِسُلْطَٰنٍ

   an authority

   مُّبِينٍ

   clear.

   Or have they a stairway (into the heaven) upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority.
