Sura 58 Al-Mujadila (The Pleading Woman), ayah 14

  1. أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوْا قَوْمًا غَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا هُمْ مِنْكُمْ وَلَا مِنْهُمْ وَيَحْلِفُونَ عَلَى الْكَذِبِ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ

    Translation by words

    أَلَمْ
    Do not
    تَرَ
    you see
    إِلَى
    [to]
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    تَوَلَّوْا۟
    take as allies
    قَوْمًا
    a people,
    غَضِبَ
    wrath
    ٱللَّهُ
    (of) Allah
    عَلَيْهِم
    (is) upon them?
    مَّا
    They (are) not
    هُم
    They (are) not
    مِّنكُمْ
    of you
    وَلَا
    and not
    مِنْهُمْ
    of them,
    وَيَحْلِفُونَ
    and they swear
    عَلَى
    to
    ٱلْكَذِبِ
    the lie
    وَهُمْ
    while they
    يَعْلَمُونَ
    know.

    Have you not considered those who make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to untruth while they know (they are lying).

    58:14
