Sura 58 Al-Mujadila (The Pleading Woman), ayah 13
-
أَأَشْفَقْتُمْ أَنْ تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ نَجْوَاكُمْ صَدَقَاتٍ ۚ فَإِذْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا وَتَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Translation by words
- ءَأَشْفَقْتُمْ
- Are you afraid
- أَن
- to
- تُقَدِّمُوا۟
- offer
- بَيْنَ
- before
- يَدَىْ
- before
- نَجْوَىٰكُمْ
- your private consultation
- صَدَقَٰتٍ
- charities?
- فَإِذْ
- Then when
- لَمْ
- you do not
- تَفْعَلُوا۟
- you do not
- وَتَابَ
- and Allah has forgiven
- ٱللَّهُ
- and Allah has forgiven
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- you,
- فَأَقِيمُوا۟
- then establish
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- the prayer
- وَءَاتُوا۟
- and give
- ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
- the zakah,
- وَأَطِيعُوا۟
- and obey
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- وَرَسُولَهُۥ
- and His Messenger.
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- خَبِيرٌۢ
- (is) All-Aware
- بِمَا
- of what
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- you do.
Have you feared to present before your consultation charities? Then when you do not and Allah has forgiven you, then (at least) establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.
