Sura 59 Al-Hashr (The Exile), ayah 12

  1. لَئِنْ أُخْرِجُوا لَا يَخْرُجُونَ مَعَهُمْ وَلَئِنْ قُوتِلُوا لَا يَنْصُرُونَهُمْ وَلَئِنْ نَصَرُوهُمْ لَيُوَلُّنَّ الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنْصَرُونَ

    Translation by words

    لَئِنْ
    If
    أُخْرِجُوا۟
    they are expelled,
    لَا
    not
    يَخْرُجُونَ
    they will leave
    مَعَهُمْ
    with them,
    وَلَئِن
    and if
    قُوتِلُوا۟
    they are fought
    لَا
    not
    يَنصُرُونَهُمْ
    they will help them.
    وَلَئِن
    And if
    نَّصَرُوهُمْ
    they help them,
    لَيُوَلُّنَّ
    certainly they will turn
    ٱلْأَدْبَٰرَ
    (their) backs;
    ثُمَّ
    then
    لَا
    not
    يُنصَرُونَ
    they will be helped.

    If they are expelled, they will not leave with them, and if they are fought, they will not aid them. And (even) if they should aid them, they will surely turn their backs; then (thereafter) they will not be aided.
