Sura 5 Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread), ayah 111

  1. وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى الْحَوَارِيِّينَ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِي وَبِرَسُولِي قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَإِذْ
    And when
    أَوْحَيْتُ
    I inspired
    إِلَى
    to
    ٱلْحَوَارِيِّۦنَ
    the disciples
    أَنْ
    to
    ءَامِنُوا۟
    believe
    بِى
    in Me
    وَبِرَسُولِى
    and in My Messenger
    قَالُوٓا۟
    they said,
    ءَامَنَّا
    "We believe
    وَٱشْهَدْ
    and bear witness
    بِأَنَّنَا
    that indeed we
    مُسْلِمُونَ
    (are) Muslims.

    And (remember) when I inspired to the disciples, "Believe in Me and in My messenger Jesus." They said, "We have believed, so bear witness that indeed we are Muslims (in submission to Allah)."
