Sura 5 Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread), ayah 7

  1. وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَاقَهُ الَّذِي وَاثَقَكُمْ بِهِ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

    Translation by words

    وَٱذْكُرُوا۟
    And remember
    نِعْمَةَ
    (the) Favor
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    عَلَيْكُمْ
    upon you
    وَمِيثَٰقَهُ
    and His covenant
    ٱلَّذِى
    which
    وَاثَقَكُم
    He bound you
    بِهِۦٓ
    with [it]
    إِذْ
    when
    قُلْتُمْ
    you said,
    سَمِعْنَا
    "We heard
    وَأَطَعْنَا
    and we obeyed;"
    وَٱتَّقُوا۟
    and fear
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah.
    إِنَّ
    Indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    عَلِيمٌۢ
    (is) All-Knower
    بِذَاتِ
    of what
    ٱلصُّدُورِ
    (is in) the breasts.

    And remember the favor of Allah upon you and His covenant with which He bound you when you said, "We hear and we obey"; and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.
