Sura 5 Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread), ayah 84

  1. وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا جَاءَنَا مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَنْ يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الصَّالِحِينَ

    Translation by words

    وَمَا
    And what
    لَنَا
    for us (that)
    لَا
    not
    نُؤْمِنُ
    we believe
    بِٱللَّهِ
    in Allah
    وَمَا
    and what
    جَآءَنَا
    came (to) us
    مِنَ
    from
    ٱلْحَقِّ
    the truth?
    وَنَطْمَعُ
    And we hope
    أَن
    that
    يُدْخِلَنَا
    will admit us
    رَبُّنَا
    our Lord
    مَعَ
    with
    ٱلْقَوْمِ
    the people,
    ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
    the righteous."

    And why should we not believe in Allah and what has come to us of the truth? And we aspire that our Lord will admit us (to Paradise) with the righteous people."

    5:84
