Sura 60 Al-Mumtahanah (She that is to be examined), ayah 2
-
إِنْ يَثْقَفُوكُمْ يَكُونُوا لَكُمْ أَعْدَاءً وَيَبْسُطُوا إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَلْسِنَتَهُمْ بِالسُّوءِ وَوَدُّوا لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ
Translation by words
- إِن
- If
- يَثْقَفُوكُمْ
- they gain dominance over you,
- يَكُونُوا۟
- they would be
- لَكُمْ
- to you
- أَعْدَآءً
- enemies
- وَيَبْسُطُوٓا۟
- and extend
- إِلَيْكُمْ
- against you
- أَيْدِيَهُمْ
- their hands
- وَأَلْسِنَتَهُم
- and their tongues
- بِٱلسُّوٓءِ
- with evil,
- وَوَدُّوا۟
- and they desire
- لَوْ
- that
- تَكْفُرُونَ
- you would disbelieve.
If they gain dominance over you, they would be to you as enemies and extend against you their hands and their tongues with evil, and they wish you would disbelieve.
60:2
