Sura 63 Al-Munafiqun (The Hypocrites), ayah 8

  1. يَقُولُونَ لَئِنْ رَجَعْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ لَيُخْرِجَنَّ الْأَعَزُّ مِنْهَا الْأَذَلَّ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَٰكِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

    Translation by words

    يَقُولُونَ
    They say,
    لَئِن
    "If
    رَّجَعْنَآ
    we return
    إِلَى
    to
    ٱلْمَدِينَةِ
    Al-Madinah,
    لَيُخْرِجَنَّ
    surely, will expel
    ٱلْأَعَزُّ
    the more honorable
    مِنْهَا
    from it
    ٱلْأَذَلَّ
    the more humble."
    وَلِلَّهِ
    But for Allah
    ٱلْعِزَّةُ
    (is) the honor
    وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ
    and for His Messenger
    وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
    and for the believers,
    وَلَٰكِنَّ
    but
    ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ
    the hypocrites
    لَا
    (do) not
    يَعْلَمُونَ
    know.

    They say, "If we return to al-Madinah, the more honored (for power) will surely expel therefrom the more humble." And to Allah belongs (all) honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.
