Sura 6 Al-An'am (The Cattle), ayah 123
-
وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَابِرَ مُجْرِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُوا فِيهَا ۖ وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Translation by words
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- جَعَلْنَا
- We placed
- فِى
- in
- كُلِّ
- every
- قَرْيَةٍ
- city
- أَكَٰبِرَ
- greatest
- مُجْرِمِيهَا
- (of) its criminals,
- لِيَمْكُرُوا۟
- so that they plot
- فِيهَا
- therein.
- وَمَا
- And not
- يَمْكُرُونَ
- they plot
- إِلَّا
- except
- بِأَنفُسِهِمْ
- against themselves
- وَمَا
- and not
- يَشْعُرُونَ
- they perceive.
And thus We have placed within every city the greatest of its criminals to conspire therein. But they conspire not except against themselves, and they perceive (it) not.
