Sura 6 Al-An'am (The Cattle), ayah 153
-
وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
Translation by words
- وَأَنَّ
- And that,
- هَٰذَا
- this
- صِرَٰطِى
- (is) My path,
- مُسْتَقِيمًا
- straight,
- فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ
- so follow it.
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- تَتَّبِعُوا۟
- follow
- ٱلسُّبُلَ
- the (other) paths,
- فَتَفَرَّقَ
- then they will separate
- بِكُمْ
- you
- عَن
- from
- سَبِيلِهِۦ
- His path.
- ذَٰلِكُمْ
- That
- وَصَّىٰكُم
- (He) has enjoined on you
- بِهِۦ
- [with it]
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- تَتَّقُونَ
- become righteous.
And, (moreover), this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow (other) ways, for you will be separated from His way. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous.
6:153
Translation: Saheeh International
