Sura 6 Al-An'am (The Cattle), ayah 96

  1. فَالِقُ الْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ

    Translation by words

    فَالِقُ
    (He is the) Cleaver
    ٱلْإِصْبَاحِ
    (of) the daybreak
    وَجَعَلَ
    and He has made
    ٱلَّيْلَ
    the night
    سَكَنًا
    (for) rest
    وَٱلشَّمْسَ
    and the sun
    وَٱلْقَمَرَ
    and the moon
    حُسْبَانًا
    (for) reckoning.
    ذَٰلِكَ
    That
    تَقْدِيرُ
    (is the) ordaining
    ٱلْعَزِيزِ
    (of) the All-Mighty,
    ٱلْعَلِيمِ
    the All-Knowing.

    (He is) the cleaver of daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and moon for calculation. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
