Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 134

  1. وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّجْزُ قَالُوا يَا مُوسَى ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِنْدَكَ ۖ لَئِنْ كَشَفْتَ عَنَّا الرِّجْزَ لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ

    Translation by words

    وَلَمَّا
    And when
    وَقَعَ
    fell
    عَلَيْهِمُ
    on them
    ٱلرِّجْزُ
    the punishment,
    قَالُوا۟
    they said,
    يَٰمُوسَى
    "O Musa!
    ٱدْعُ
    Invoke
    لَنَا
    for us
    رَبَّكَ
    your Lord
    بِمَا
    by what
    عَهِدَ
    He has promised
    عِندَكَ
    to you.
    لَئِن
    If
    كَشَفْتَ
    you remove
    عَنَّا
    from us
    ٱلرِّجْزَ
    the punishment
    لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ
    surely, we will believe
    لَكَ
    [for] you
    وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ
    and surely, we will send
    مَعَكَ
    with you
    بَنِىٓ
    (the) Children
    إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
    (of) Israel."

    And when the punishment descended upon them, they said, "O Moses, invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised you. If you (can) remove the punishment from us, we will surely believe you, and we will send with you the Children of Israel."
