Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 136

  1. فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُوا عَنْهَا غَافِلِينَ

    Translation by words

    فَٱنتَقَمْنَا
    So We took retribution
    مِنْهُمْ
    from them
    فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ
    and We drowned them
    فِى
    in
    ٱلْيَمِّ
    the sea
    بِأَنَّهُمْ
    because they
    كَذَّبُوا۟
    denied
    بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
    Our Signs,
    وَكَانُوا۟
    and they were
    عَنْهَا
    to them
    غَٰفِلِينَ
    heedless.

    So We took retribution from them, and We drowned them in the sea because they denied Our signs and were heedless of them.
