Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 162
-
فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْهُمْ قَوْلًا غَيْرَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِجْزًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَظْلِمُونَ
Translation by words
- فَبَدَّلَ
- But changed
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ظَلَمُوا۟
- wronged
- مِنْهُمْ
- among them
- قَوْلًا
- word
- غَيْرَ
- other than
- ٱلَّذِى
- (that) which
- قِيلَ
- was said
- لَهُمْ
- to them.
- فَأَرْسَلْنَا
- So We sent
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- upon them
- رِجْزًا
- torment
- مِّنَ
- from
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- بِمَا
- because
- كَانُوا۟
- they were
- يَظْلِمُونَ
- doing wrong.
But those who wronged among them changed (the words) to a statement other than that which had been said to them. So We sent upon them a punishment from the sky for the wrong that they were doing.
7:162
Translation: Saheeh International
