Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 166

فَلَمَّا عَتَوْا عَنْ مَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ قُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُوا قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ
Translation by words
- فَلَمَّا
- So when
- عَتَوْا۟
- they exceeded all bounds
- عَن
- about
- مَّا
- what
- نُهُوا۟
- they were forbidden
- عَنْهُ
- from it,
- قُلْنَا
- We said
- لَهُمْ
- to them,
- كُونُوا۟
- "Be
- قِرَدَةً
- apes,
- خَٰسِـِٔينَ
- despised."
So when they were insolent about that which they had been forbidden, We said to them, "Be apes, despised."
