Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 86
-
وَلَا تَقْعُدُوا بِكُلِّ صِرَاطٍ تُوعِدُونَ وَتَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِهِ وَتَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا ۚ وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ كُنْتُمْ قَلِيلًا فَكَثَّرَكُمْ ۖ وَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Translation by words
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- تَقْعُدُوا۟
- sit
- بِكُلِّ
- on every
- صِرَٰطٍ
- path
- تُوعِدُونَ
- threatening
- وَتَصُدُّونَ
- and hindering
- عَن
- from
- سَبِيلِ
- (the) way
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- مَنْ
- (those) who
- ءَامَنَ
- believe
- بِهِۦ
- in Him,
- وَتَبْغُونَهَا
- and seeking (to make) it
- عِوَجًا
- crooked.
- وَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟
- And remember
- إِذْ
- when
- كُنتُمْ
- you were
- قَلِيلًا
- few
- فَكَثَّرَكُمْ
- and He increased you.
- وَٱنظُرُوا۟
- And see
- كَيْفَ
- how
- كَانَ
- was
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (the) end
- ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
- (of) the corrupters.
And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it (seem) deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters.
7:86
