Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 97

1. أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَىٰ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتًا وَهُمْ نَائِمُونَ

   Translation by words

   أَفَأَمِنَ

   Then did feel secure

   أَهْلُ

   (the) people

   ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ

   (of) the cities

   أَن

   that

   يَأْتِيَهُم

   comes to them

   بَأْسُنَا

   Our punishment

   بَيَٰتًا

   (at) night

   وَهُمْ

   while they

   نَآئِمُونَ

   (were) asleep?

   Then, did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them at night while they were asleep?

   7:97
