Sura 17 Al-Isra (The Night Journey), ayah 55

  1. وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ وَلَقَدْ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَ النَّبِيِّينَ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۖ وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُورًا

    Translation by words

    وَرَبُّكَ
    And your Lord
    أَعْلَمُ
    (is) most knowing
    بِمَن
    of whoever
    فِى
    (is) in
    ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
    the heavens
    وَٱلْأَرْضِ
    and the earth.
    وَلَقَدْ
    And verily
    فَضَّلْنَا
    We have preferred
    بَعْضَ
    some
    ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ
    (of) the Prophets
    عَلَىٰ
    to
    بَعْضٍ
    others.
    وَءَاتَيْنَا
    And We gave
    دَاوُۥدَ
    Dawood
    زَبُورًا
    Zaboor.

    And your Lord is most knowing of whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And We have made some of the prophets exceed others (in various ways), and to David We gave the book (of Psalms).
