Sura 18 Al-Kahf (The Cave), ayah 40
-
فَعَسَىٰ رَبِّي أَنْ يُؤْتِيَنِ خَيْرًا مِنْ جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهَا حُسْبَانًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَتُصْبِحَ صَعِيدًا زَلَقًا
Translation by words
- فَعَسَىٰ
- It may be
- رَبِّىٓ
- that my Lord
- أَن
- that my Lord
- يُؤْتِيَنِ
- will give me
- خَيْرًا
- better
- مِّن
- than
- جَنَّتِكَ
- your garden
- وَيُرْسِلَ
- and will send
- عَلَيْهَا
- upon it
- حُسْبَانًا
- a calamity
- مِّنَ
- from
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky,
- فَتُصْبِحَ
- then it will become
- صَعِيدًا
- ground
- زَلَقًا
- slippery,
It may be that my Lord will give me (something) better than your garden and will send upon it a calamity from the sky, and it will become a smooth, dusty ground,
