Sura 19 Maryam, ayah 59
-
فَخَلَفَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا
Translation by words
- فَخَلَفَ
- Then succeeded
- مِنۢ
- after them
- بَعْدِهِمْ
- after them
- خَلْفٌ
- successors,
- أَضَاعُوا۟
- who neglected
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- the prayer
- وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟
- and they followed
- ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ
- the lusts
- فَسَوْفَ
- so soon,
- يَلْقَوْنَ
- they will meet
- غَيًّا
- evil
But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil -
