Sura 21 Al-Anbiya (The Prophets), ayah 22

لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Translation by words
- لَوْ
- If
- كَانَ
- (there) were
- فِيهِمَآ
- in both of them
- ءَالِهَةٌ
- gods
- إِلَّا
- besides
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah,
- لَفَسَدَتَا
- surely they (would) have been ruined.
- فَسُبْحَٰنَ
- So glorified
- ٱللَّهِ
- (is) Allah,
- رَبِّ
- Lord
- ٱلْعَرْشِ
- (of) the Throne
- عَمَّا
- (above) what
- يَصِفُونَ
- they attribute.
Had there been within the heavens and earth gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
