Sura 21 Al-Anbiya (The Prophets), ayah 24

  1. أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ آلِهَةً ۖ قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ ۖ هَٰذَا ذِكْرُ مَنْ مَعِيَ وَذِكْرُ مَنْ قَبْلِي ۗ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْحَقَّ ۖ فَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ

    Translation by words

    أَمِ
    Or
    ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
    (have) they taken
    مِن
    besides Him
    دُونِهِۦٓ
    besides Him
    ءَالِهَةً
    gods?
    قُلْ
    Say,
    هَاتُوا۟
    "Bring
    بُرْهَٰنَكُمْ
    your proof.
    هَٰذَا
    This
    ذِكْرُ
    (is) a Reminder
    مَن
    (for those) who
    مَّعِىَ
    (are) with me,
    وَذِكْرُ
    and a Reminder
    مَن
    (for those) who
    قَبْلِى
    (were) before me."
    بَلْ
    But
    أَكْثَرُهُمْ
    most of them
    لَا
    (do) not
    يَعْلَمُونَ
    know
    ٱلْحَقَّ
    the truth
    فَهُم
    so they
    مُّعْرِضُونَ
    (are) averse.

    Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, (O Muhammad), "Produce your proof. This (Qur'an) is the message for those with me and the message of those before me." But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away.
