Sura 21 Al-Anbiya (The Prophets), ayah 41
-
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Translation by words
- وَلَقَدِ
- And verily,
- ٱسْتُهْزِئَ
- were mocked
- بِرُسُلٍ
- Messengers
- مِّن
- before you
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- فَحَاقَ
- then surrounded
- بِٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- سَخِرُوا۟
- mocked
- مِنْهُم
- from them
- مَّا
- what
- كَانُوا۟
- they used
- بِهِۦ
- at it
- يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
- (to) mock.
And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
