Sura 21 Al-Anbiya (The Prophets), ayah 83

  1. وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

    Translation by words

    وَأَيُّوبَ
    And Ayub,
    إِذْ
    when
    نَادَىٰ
    he called
    رَبَّهُۥٓ
    (to) his Lord,
    أَنِّى
    "Indeed, [I]
    مَسَّنِىَ
    has touched me
    ٱلضُّرُّ
    the adversity,
    وَأَنتَ
    and You
    أَرْحَمُ
    (are) Most Merciful
    ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
    (of) the Merciful."

    And (mention) Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful."

    21:83
