Sura 22 Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage), ayah 30

  1. ذَٰلِكَ وَمَنْ يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَاتِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ ۗ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ الْأَنْعَامُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ

    Translation by words

    ذَٰلِكَ
    That
    وَمَن
    and whoever
    يُعَظِّمْ
    honors
    حُرُمَٰتِ
    (the) sacred rites
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah,
    فَهُوَ
    then it
    خَيْرٌ
    (is) best
    لَّهُۥ
    for him
    عِندَ
    near
    رَبِّهِۦ
    his Lord.
    وَأُحِلَّتْ
    And are made lawful
    لَكُمُ
    to you
    ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ
    the cattle
    إِلَّا
    except
    مَا
    what
    يُتْلَىٰ
    is recited
    عَلَيْكُمْ
    to you.
    فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟
    So avoid
    ٱلرِّجْسَ
    the abomination
    مِنَ
    of
    ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِ
    the idols
    وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟
    and avoid
    قَوْلَ
    (the) word
    ٱلزُّورِ
    false.

    That (has been commanded), and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,
