Sura 22 Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage), ayah 37

  1. لَنْ يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَٰكِنْ يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَىٰ مِنْكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

    Translation by words

    لَن
    Will not
    يَنَالَ
    reach
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    لُحُومُهَا
    their meat
    وَلَا
    and not
    دِمَآؤُهَا
    their blood
    وَلَٰكِن
    but
    يَنَالُهُ
    reaches Him
    ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ
    the piety
    مِنكُمْ
    from you.
    كَذَٰلِكَ
    Thus
    سَخَّرَهَا
    He subjected them
    لَكُمْ
    to you
    لِتُكَبِّرُوا۟
    so that you may magnify
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    عَلَىٰ
    for
    مَا
    what
    هَدَىٰكُمْ
    He has guided you.
    وَبَشِّرِ
    And give glad tidings
    ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
    (to) the good-doers.

    Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that (to) which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.
