Sura 22 Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage), ayah 47

  1. وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَنْ يُخْلِفَ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ ۚ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

    Translation by words

    وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ
    And they ask you to hasten
    بِٱلْعَذَابِ
    the punishment.
    وَلَن يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّهُ
    But never will Allah fail
    وَعْدَهُۥ
    (in) His Promise.
    وَإِنَّ
    And indeed,
    يَوْمًا
    a day
    عِندَ
    with
    رَبِّكَ
    your Lord
    كَأَلْفِ
    (is) like a thousand
    سَنَةٍ
    year(s)
    مِّمَّا
    of what
    تَعُدُّونَ
    you count.

    And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.
