Sura 24 An-Nur (The Light), ayah 22

  1. وَلَا يَأْتَلِ أُولُو الْفَضْلِ مِنْكُمْ وَالسَّعَةِ أَنْ يُؤْتُوا أُولِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَلْيَعْفُوا وَلْيَصْفَحُوا ۗ أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

    Translation by words

    وَلَا
    And not
    يَأْتَلِ
    let swear
    أُو۟لُوا۟
    those of virtue
    ٱلْفَضْلِ
    those of virtue
    مِنكُمْ
    among you
    وَٱلسَّعَةِ
    and the amplitude of means
    أَن
    that
    يُؤْتُوٓا۟
    they give
    أُو۟لِى
    (to) the near of kin,
    ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ
    (to) the near of kin,
    وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينَ
    and the needy
    وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ
    and the emigrants
    فِى
    in
    سَبِيلِ
    (the) way
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah.
    وَلْيَعْفُوا۟
    And let them pardon
    وَلْيَصْفَحُوٓا۟
    and let them overlook.
    أَلَا
    (Do) not
    تُحِبُّونَ
    you like
    أَن
    that
    يَغْفِرَ
    Allah should forgive
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah should forgive
    لَكُمْ
    you?
    وَٱللَّهُ
    And Allah
    غَفُورٌ
    (is) Oft-Forgiving,
    رَّحِيمٌ
    Most Merciful.

    And let not those of virtue among you and wealth swear not to give (aid) to their relatives and the needy and the emigrants for the cause of Allah, and let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
