Sura 27 An-Naml (The Ant), ayah 19

  1. فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِنْ قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

    Translation by words

    فَتَبَسَّمَ
    So he smiled -
    ضَاحِكًا
    laughing
    مِّن
    at
    قَوْلِهَا
    her speech
    وَقَالَ
    and said,
    رَبِّ
    "My Lord!
    أَوْزِعْنِىٓ
    Grant me (the) power
    أَنْ
    that
    أَشْكُرَ
    I may thank You
    نِعْمَتَكَ
    (for) Your Favor
    ٱلَّتِىٓ
    which
    أَنْعَمْتَ
    You have bestowed
    عَلَىَّ
    on me
    وَعَلَىٰ
    and on
    وَٰلِدَىَّ
    my parents
    وَأَنْ
    and that
    أَعْمَلَ
    I may do
    صَٰلِحًا
    righteous (deeds),
    تَرْضَىٰهُ
    that will please You.
    وَأَدْخِلْنِى
    And admit me
    بِرَحْمَتِكَ
    by Your Mercy
    فِى
    among
    عِبَادِكَ
    Your slaves
    ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
    righteous."

    So (Solomon) smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into (the ranks of) Your righteous servants."
