Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 123
-
وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا لَا تَجْزِي نَفْسٌ عَنْ نَفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَلَا تَنْفَعُهَا شَفَاعَةٌ وَلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ
Translation by words
- وَٱتَّقُوا۟
- And fear
- يَوْمًا
- a day
- لَّا
- not
- تَجْزِى
- will avail
- نَفْسٌ
- a soul
- عَن
- (of)
- نَّفْسٍ
- (another) soul
- شَيْـًٔا
- anything
- وَلَا
- and not
- يُقْبَلُ
- will be accepted
- مِنْهَا
- from it
- عَدْلٌ
- any compensation,
- وَلَا
- and not
- تَنفَعُهَا
- will benefit it
- شَفَٰعَةٌ
- any intercession,
- وَلَا
- and not
- هُمْ
- they
- يُنصَرُونَ
- will be helped.
And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at all, and no compensation will be accepted from it, nor will any intercession benefit it, nor will they be aided.
