Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 211

  1. سَلْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ بَيِّنَةٍ ۗ وَمَنْ يُبَدِّلْ نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ

    Translation by words

    سَلْ
    Ask
    بَنِىٓ
    (the) Children
    إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
    (of) Israel,
    كَمْ
    how many
    ءَاتَيْنَٰهُم
    We gave them
    مِّنْ
    of
    ءَايَةٍۭ
    (the) Sign(s)
    بَيِّنَةٍ
    clear.
    وَمَن
    And whoever
    يُبَدِّلْ
    changes
    نِعْمَةَ
    Favor
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    مِنۢ
    from
    بَعْدِ
    after
    مَا
    [what]
    جَآءَتْهُ
    it (has) come to him -
    فَإِنَّ
    then indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    شَدِيدُ
    (is) severe
    ٱلْعِقَابِ
    in [the] chastising.

    Ask the Children of Israel how many a sign of evidence We have given them. And whoever exchanges the favor of Allah (for disbelief) after it has come to him - then indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
