Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 52

1. ثُمَّ عَفَوْنَا عَنْكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

   Translation by words

   ثُمَّ

   Then

   عَفَوْنَا

   We forgave

   عَنكُم

   you

   مِّنۢ

   from

   بَعْدِ

   after

   ذَٰلِكَ

   that,

   لَعَلَّكُمْ

   so that you may

   تَشْكُرُونَ

   (be) grateful.

   Then We forgave you after that so perhaps you would be grateful.
