Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 59

  1. فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا قَوْلًا غَيْرَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَنْزَلْنَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا رِجْزًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ

    Translation by words

    فَبَدَّلَ
    But changed
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    ظَلَمُوا۟
    wronged
    قَوْلًا
    (the) word
    غَيْرَ
    other (than)
    ٱلَّذِى
    (that) which
    قِيلَ
    was said
    لَهُمْ
    to them;
    فَأَنزَلْنَا
    so We sent down
    عَلَى
    upon
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    ظَلَمُوا۟
    wronged,
    رِجْزًا
    a punishment
    مِّنَ
    from
    ٱلسَّمَآءِ
    the sky
    بِمَا
    because
    كَانُوا۟
    they were
    يَفْسُقُونَ
    defiantly disobeying.

    But those who wronged changed (those words) to a statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who wronged a punishment from the sky because they were defiantly disobeying.
