Sura 33 Al-Ahzab (Those who took up arms), ayah 12
-
وَإِذْ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ مَا وَعَدَنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا
Translation by words
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- يَقُولُ
- said
- ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ
- the hypocrites
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those
- فِى
- in
- قُلُوبِهِم
- their hearts
- مَّرَضٌ
- (was) a disease,
- مَّا
- "Not
- وَعَدَنَا
- Allah promised us
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah promised us
- وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ
- and His messenger
- إِلَّا
- except
- غُرُورًا
- delusion."
And (remember) when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease said, "Allah and His Messenger did not promise us except delusion,"
33:12
