Sura 33 Al-Ahzab (Those who took up arms), ayah 40

  1. مَا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِنْ رِجَالِكُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا

    Translation by words

    مَّا
    Not
    كَانَ
    is
    مُحَمَّدٌ
    Muhammad
    أَبَآ
    (the) father
    أَحَدٍ
    (of) anyone
    مِّن
    of
    رِّجَالِكُمْ
    your men
    وَلَٰكِن
    but
    رَّسُولَ
    (he is the) Messenger
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    وَخَاتَمَ
    and Seal
    ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ
    (of) the Prophets.
    وَكَانَ
    And Allah is
    ٱللَّهُ
    And Allah is
    بِكُلِّ
    of every
    شَىْءٍ
    thing
    عَلِيمًا
    All-Knower.

    Muhammad is not the father of (any) one of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing.
