Sura 34 Sheba, ayah 43
-
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالُوا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَصُدَّكُمْ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَقَالُوا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا إِفْكٌ مُفْتَرًى ۚ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ
Translation by words
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- تُتْلَىٰ
- are recited
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- to them
- ءَايَٰتُنَا
- Our Verses
- بَيِّنَٰتٍ
- clear
- قَالُوا۟
- they say,
- مَا
- "Not
- هَٰذَآ
- (is) this
- إِلَّا
- but
- رَجُلٌ
- a man
- يُرِيدُ
- who wishes
- أَن
- to
- يَصُدَّكُمْ
- hinder you
- عَمَّا
- from what
- كَانَ
- used
- يَعْبُدُ
- (to) worship
- ءَابَآؤُكُمْ
- your forefathers."
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say,
- مَا
- "Not
- هَٰذَآ
- (is) this
- إِلَّآ
- except
- إِفْكٌ
- a lie
- مُّفْتَرًى
- invented."
- وَقَالَ
- And said
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved
- لِلْحَقِّ
- about the truth
- لَمَّا
- when
- جَآءَهُمْ
- it came to them,
- إِنْ
- "Not
- هَٰذَآ
- (is) this
- إِلَّا
- except
- سِحْرٌ
- a magic
- مُّبِينٌ
- obvious."
And when our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, they say, "This is not but a man who wishes to avert you from that which your fathers were worshipping." And they say, "This is not except a lie invented." And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, "This is not but obvious magic."
34:43
