  1. وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَلَوْ
    And if
    نَشَآءُ
    We willed,
    لَطَمَسْنَا
    We (would have) surely obliterated
    عَلَىٰٓ
    [over]
    أَعْيُنِهِمْ
    their eyes,
    فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟
    then they (would) race
    ٱلصِّرَٰطَ
    (to find) the path,
    فَأَنَّىٰ
    then how
    يُبْصِرُونَ
    (could) they see?

And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to (find) the path, and how could they see?
