Sura 45 Al-Jathiyah (The Crouching), ayah 18

  1. ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ فَاتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

    Translation by words

    ثُمَّ
    Then
    جَعَلْنَٰكَ
    We put you
    عَلَىٰ
    on
    شَرِيعَةٍ
    an ordained way
    مِّنَ
    of
    ٱلْأَمْرِ
    the matter;
    فَٱتَّبِعْهَا
    so follow it
    وَلَا
    and (do) not
    تَتَّبِعْ
    follow
    أَهْوَآءَ
    (the) desires
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    (of) those who
    لَا
    (do) not
    يَعْلَمُونَ
    know.

    Then We put you, (O Muhammad), on an ordained way concerning the matter (of religion); so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.
