Sura 46 Al-Ahqaf (The Wind - Curved Sandhills), ayah 35

  1. فَاصْبِرْ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُولُو الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلْ لَهُمْ ۚ كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ مَا يُوعَدُونَ لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا سَاعَةً مِنْ نَهَارٍ ۚ بَلَاغٌ ۚ فَهَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

    Translation by words

    فَٱصْبِرْ
    So be patient,
    كَمَا
    as
    صَبَرَ
    had patience
    أُو۟لُوا۟
    those of determination
    ٱلْعَزْمِ
    those of determination
    مِنَ
    of
    ٱلرُّسُلِ
    the Messengers,
    وَلَا
    and (do) not
    تَسْتَعْجِل
    seek to hasten
    لَّهُمْ
    for them.
    كَأَنَّهُمْ
    As if they had,
    يَوْمَ
    (the) Day
    يَرَوْنَ
    they see
    مَا
    what
    يُوعَدُونَ
    they were promised,
    لَمْ
    not
    يَلْبَثُوٓا۟
    remained
    إِلَّا
    except
    سَاعَةً
    an hour
    مِّن
    of
    نَّهَارٍۭ
    a day.
    بَلَٰغٌ
    A notification.
    فَهَلْ
    But will
    يُهْلَكُ
    (any) be destroyed
    إِلَّا
    except
    ٱلْقَوْمُ
    the people -
    ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ
    the defiantly disobedient?

    So be patient, (O Muhammad), as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for them. It will be - on the Day they see that which they are promised - as though they had not remained (in the world) except an hour of a day. (This is) notification. And will (any) be destroyed except the defiantly disobedient people?
