Sura 49 Al-Hujurat (The Inner Apartments), ayah 5

  1. وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ صَبَرُوا حَتَّىٰ تَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِمْ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

    Translation by words

    وَلَوْ
    And if
    أَنَّهُمْ
    they
    صَبَرُوا۟
    had been patient
    حَتَّىٰ
    until
    تَخْرُجَ
    you came out
    إِلَيْهِمْ
    to them
    لَكَانَ
    certainly it would be
    خَيْرًا
    better
    لَّهُمْ
    for them.
    وَٱللَّهُ
    And Allah
    غَفُورٌ
    (is) Oft-Forgiving,
    رَّحِيمٌ
    Most Merciful.

    And if they had been patient until you (could) come out to them, it would have been better for them. But Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
