Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 112

  1. وَمَنْ يَكْسِبْ خَطِيئَةً أَوْ إِثْمًا ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِهِ بَرِيئًا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلَ بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُبِينًا

    Translation by words

    وَمَن
    And whoever
    يَكْسِبْ
    earns
    خَطِيٓـَٔةً
    a fault
    أَوْ
    or
    إِثْمًا
    a sin
    ثُمَّ
    then
    يَرْمِ
    throws
    بِهِۦ
    it
    بَرِيٓـًٔا
    (on) an innocent,
    فَقَدِ
    then surely
    ٱحْتَمَلَ
    he (has) burdened (himself)
    بُهْتَٰنًا
    (with) a slander
    وَإِثْمًا
    and a sin
    مُّبِينًا
    manifest.

    But whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent (person) has taken upon himself a slander and manifest sin.
